“…Another meta-analysis showed that adherence to the DASH diet significantly decreases body weight (about-1.42 kg in 8-24 weeks), BMI, and WC, especially along with energy-restricted diets [26]. In contrast, Aminianfar et al [27] found no significant association between adherence to the MIND diet and odds of general and central obesity in both men and women. However, they did not include olive oil in the score and their sample size was lower.…”

However, the relationship between the MIND diet and MetS has not been assessed.…”

“…The MIND diet and CVD risk factors have been studied in a few studies. 20,21 The Framingham Offspring Cohort, on 2512 participants, indicated a significant positive association between the MIND diet and left ventricular mass (LVM) in females. On the contrary, an inverse association between the MIND diet and global circumferential strain (GCS) among subjects, aged >66 years was reported.…”

“…19 The relationship between the MIND diet and CVD risk factors was investigated in two cross-sectional studies, but no indication of a link was found. 20,21 However, it has yet to be determined whether the MIND diet is associated with the lower incidence of CVD.…”
