Abstract:Background: Thalassemia major is associated with ferritin levels and SII values with impaired liver function. Furthermore, the measurement of impaired liver function is carried out using Serum Glutamate Oxaloacetate Transaminase (SGOT) and Serum Glutamate Pyruvate Transaminase (SGPT) levels.
