Ksenija Pešek, MD. has been employed in the capacity of Specialist Internist at the Cardiology Department of the Zabok General Hospital since 1992. As the Head of the Cardiology Department, she has been the chief mentor to resident doctors and resident cardiology specialists at the hospital. She is a regular lecturer in Cardiology at the Department of Internal Medicine at the Zabok General Hospital, as well as the rest of the county. In 2008 she has been awarded the title of Primarius and Cardiologist. Since 2008 she has been active as Vice President of the Croatian Cardiology Society. She is also a member of the European Cardiology Association, of the Croatian Association for Hypertension, and the Croatian Internist Association. She has participated in all the leading clinical studies in the field of cardiology in Croatia and has published 15 professional and scientific works in cardiology. With her long career and professional and scientific works in cardiology, she has contributed significantly to the science, and has as well excelled in the clinical, educational and organizational aspect of cardiology. Since 2010 she has been an active member of FESC (Fellow of European society of Cardiology).
