Abstract: Summary Introduction High blood pressure (BP) in childhood is associated with left ventricular hypertrophy and abnormal vascular reactivity even in apparently healthy children. Our results indicate that baseline blood pressure is not signi cantly associated with postinduction hypotension, perhaps because we de ned hypotension using an absolute age-based threshold rather than a relative one, which we believe increases the stability of the observations and is more appropriate for cross-sectional comparisons between similar studies.…”
