Abstract:Background Genome-Wide Association Studies have identified genetic polymorphisms located at the Adenylate Cyclase 5 (ADCY5) and Parathyroid Hormone 1 Receptor (PTH1R) genes on chromosome 3 as susceptibility loci for type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) in different population.
