Abstract:Recurrent Aphthous stomatitis (RAS) is a common oral mucosal condition. The pathophysiology of RAS is affected by a variety of variables, including microbial, genetic, immunological and local and systemic diseases. Interleukin IL-1β, a cytokine that promotes inflammation, has been found in high concentrations in the circulation of RAS.
