Association of insertion deletion polymorphism of the ACE gene with factors of circulating rennin-angiotensin-aldosterone system and endothelial function of skin microvassals in preeclampsia
Abstract:The association of angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) insertion/deletion (I/D) gene polymorphism with plasma ACE, renin activity and endothelial function of skin microvassals were studied. Preeclamptic patients with the DD genotype of ACE I/D gene polymorphism have lowest plasma renin activity level and endothelium-dependent vasodilatation, D allele carriers have highest plasma ACE activity.

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
