Abstract: Left ventricular diastolic dysfunction (LVDD) is the predominant cardiac abnormality in cirrhosis. We investigated the association of LVDD with systemic inflammation and its impact on renal function, occurrence of hepatorenal syndrome (HRS) and survival in patients with cirrhosis and ascites.
