Abstract: Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) diffusion studies have shown chronic microstructural tissue abnormalities in athletes with history of concussion, but with inconsistent findings. Concussions with post‐traumatic amnesia (PTA) and/or loss of consciousness (LOC) have been connected to greater physiological injury.
