Abstract:Astilbe rivularis is a medically rich species belonging to the family Saxifragaceae. An herb that can grow up to 2.5 meters tall and has nearly 20 species in the genus, it is commonly and traditionally used as medicine in Nepal and the Eastern Himalayan regions of Darjeeling and Sikkim.
