Abstract:This thesis describes the development of chiral cyclometalated-amine templates promoted asymmetric reactions such as the Diels-Alder, hydrophosphination and hydroarsination reactions for the synthesis of chiral phosphine and chiral arsine ligands. The [4+2] Diels-Alder reactions involving 3-diphenylphosphinofuran and three phosphine functionalized dienophiles viz. diphenylvinylphosphine, diphenyl[(E)-2-(ethoxycarbonyl)vinyl]phosphine and divinylphenylphosphine were carried out by employing platinum complexes c… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
