Asymptomatic erythematous plaque on the lower leg

Abstract: An 83-year-old man presented to our dermatology outpatient clinic for surgical treatment of cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma of the scalp. On full body examination, an erythematous plaque was noted on the left lower leg. The patient stated that this had been present for many months. Pruritus, pain, or B-symptomatology were denied, as were known skin diseases in the patient's own history or that of his family.
