Asymptotic profiles of zero points of solutions to the heat equation
Hiroshi Ishii
Abstract:In this paper, we consider the asymptotic profiles of zero points for the spatial variable of the solutions to the heat equation. By giving suitable conditions for the initial data, we prove the existence of zero points by extending the high-order asymptotic expansion theory for the heat equation. This reveals a previously unknown asymptotic profile of zero points diverging at

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
