Asymptotic structure of topologically massive gravity in spacelike stretched AdS sector

Abstract: We introduce a natural set of asymptotic conditions in the spacelike stretched AdS sector of topologically massive gravity. The Poisson bracket algebra of the canonical generators is shown to have the form of the semi-direct sum of a u(1) Kac-Moody and a Virasoro algebra, with central charges. Using the Sugawara construction, we prove that the asymptotic symmetry coincides with the conformal symmetry, described by two independent Virasoro algebras with central charges. The result is in complete agreement with … Show more

“…It was pointed out that for the spacelike stretched and the null warped AdS 3 black holes, which are the classical solutions of three-dimensional topological massive gravity with a negative cosmological constant, there exist dual two-dimensional conformal field theory descriptions. The central charges of dual CFT have been confirmed in [6,7] for spacelike case. The quasinormal modes of scalar, vector and spinor perturbations of the spacelike stretched and the null warped AdS 3 black holes were calculated in [8,9].…”

“…They are parameterized by two constants which are usually taken as , the original AdS 3 radius, and (ν 2 − 1) characterizing the departure from AdS 3 . They were observed to display an Asymptotic Symmetry Group (ASG) different from the Brown-Henneaux conformal symmetry group, consisting instead in the semi-direct product of a Virasoro algebra and a u(1) affine Kac-Moody algebra [53][54][55][56][57]. WCFTs are defined as two-dimensional field theories with precisely these symmetries.…”

“…As the higher derivative terms in TMG are different from the ones in NMG, the entropies, the mass and the angular momentum get modified. For a fast-rotating black hole the entropies of the outer and inner horizons could be calculated using (2.10) 15) and for a slow-rotating black hole they become…”

“…This so-called warped AdS 3 /CFT 2 correspondence was first proposed in [12] by studying the holographic description of warped AdS 3 black holes in 3D TMG. The ASG analysis was later carried out in [13][14][15]. Further evidence comes from the computations of quasi-normal modes and real-time correlators in [16][17][18][19][20][21][22].…”
