Abstract:Nitazoxanide use is limited by gastrointestinal side effects associated with increasing dose. In this drug repurposing study, we investigated the possibility of enhancing the exposure of its active metabolite, tizoxanide, through pharmacokinetic interaction with atazanavir/ritonavir.
