Visceral CSD occurs mainly in immunocompromised patients (Liston & Koehler, 1996), although the literature shows that a significant number of immunocompetent patients do suffer from disseminated CSD (Renou et al, 2010;Family-Pigné et al, 2006), which is transmitted by different mechanisms (Bass et al, 1997;McGill et al, 2003).
