Abstract:Introduction: Direct laryngoscopy and endotracheal intubation are a noxious stimulus and induces sympathomimetic responses. Although properly tolerated in normal and healthy subjects, it can impose serious arrhythmias, left ventricular failure, myocardial ischemia, or rupture of cerebral aneurysm in vulnerable patients.
