Abstract: This study aimed to assess the attitudes of Cambodian women toward menopause and its associating factors. A cross-sectional study design was used to examine the attitudes of 181 Cambodian women ages 40–60 years toward menopause using the Attitude toward Menopause (ATM) scale. “…Finally, this research highlights the need to avoid negative attitudes toward menopause concerning loss of health or femininity as seen in the "off-time" versus ""on-time" menopause" women in the study (Erbil, 2018). Thapa and Yang (2022) emphasize the relevance of informing women to promote positive attitudes. They even suggest the need to include counseling and intervention programs to improve the experience of menopause.…”

“…Finally, attitudes are associated with how women experience menopause (Marv an et al, 2017). A more positive attitude toward menopause would be expected to relate to better ways to manage the process and a good adaptation to this transition (Thapa and Yang, 2022). Hence, the third objective was to examine potential differences in attitudes toward menopause among early and "on-time" menopausal women (potential differences in the experiences, knowledge and attitudes toward menopause between women that experienced menopause "early" and "on-time").…”

“…While a positive attitude helps women navigate menopause well while a negative attitude makes their menopausal transition difficult, a positive attitude towards menopause is also closely linked to a better quality of life for menopausal women. (Thapa & Yang, 2022).…”
