Attitudes of Hungarian Enterprises Towards the Establishment of Partnerships in the 21st Century

Abstract

The 21st century has brought many challenges for supply chains and their actors. Ever-changing customer demands, changes in the economic sphere, events that are shaking the world economy to its core, all force businesses to be as secure as possible. One of the best “weapons” that businesses have against unforeseen risks is to cooperate with each other at some level. The higher the level of cooperation, the greater the chances of jointly averting a threat or minimising potential damage. The aim of this study is to examine the extent to which companies prefer forms of cooperation. It illustrates how attitudes towards cooperation have changed over the past decades by using real-life examples. The study also examines the views of Hungarian companies: a group of experts has been formed to identify the most important factors influencing the choice of partners, in order to draw conclusions about the demand for partnerships among Hungarian companies in the 21st century.
