Atypical echocardiographic findings in traumatic aortic transection

Abstract: Aortic rupture and transection are constituents of the acute aortic syndrome. Injury to the thoracic aorta during motor vehicle crashes is associated with blunt chest trauma and rapid deceleration mechanisms.
