Abstract:Segmental and Focal Glomerulosclerosis (FSGS) is an entity characterized by glomerular damage that involves the podocyte as main target. A variant with worse prognosis, poor response to corticosteroid therapy and rapid progression to end-stage renal disease is recognized as collapsing FSGS.
