Atypical infectious spondylitis with reduced bone marrow enhancement: “black vertebra sign”

Abstract: Background A few patients suspected of having infectious spondylitis exhibited a reduced enhancement pattern on postcontrast T1-weighted (T1W) magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
