Abstract: Necrotizing sialometaplasia refers to a benign, uncommon, and self-limiting inflammatory reaction concerning the salivary gland tissue, which both clinically and histologically may be easily mistaken for mucoepidermoid carcinoma or squamous cell carcinoma.
