Abstract:The article presents a review on the problem of diagnosis and treatment of atypical wounds. The authors highlight the importance of surgical vigilance in the absence of response to standard treatment for 4 weeks or more, the importance of tissue biopsy and multidisciplinary approach, if an atypical etiology and pathogenesis of long-term non-healing wounds are suspected.
