Au nanoparticle-catalyzed double hydrosilylation of nitriles by diethylsilane

Abstract: The Au/TiO2-catalysed reaction between Et2SiH2 and nitriles proceeds smoothly providing double hydrosilylation adducts, which are deprotected with HCl/Et2O to yield the hydrochloric salts of the corresponding amines in very good to excellent yields.
