Audiodiagnostics in examination of patients with internal TMJ derangement

Abstract: The aim of the study was to assess the efficacy of audiodiagnostics in dysfunctional TMJ disorders. Thirty-four patients were included in the study. The analysis of phonograms revealed correlation of adverse sound effects with varying degrees of internal TMJ-disorder seen by MRI imaging. The study results confirm the advantages of electronic registration of TMJ sound phenomena.
