Aurora and airglow 1970

Abstract

The Summer Advanced Study Institute, ‘Aurora and Airglow 1970,’ held at Queen's University, Kingston, Ontario, August 3–1970, was attended by 122 persons from 15 different countries. Through aurora and airglow, atmospheric processes were studied and an effort was made to analyze magnetospheric phenomena. This paper is a summary of some of the significant findings of the institute. The participants mentioned here whose papers are in the proceedings are listed in the references; those who contributed to discussions are indicated within parentheses in text.
