“…Chronic arthritis along with recurrent fever are also presenting symptoms in some leprosy patients. These can also be seen with lupus erythaematosus, rheumatoid arthritis and antiphospholipid syndrome but these symptoms usually abate with treatment for the underlying M. leprae infection 4 12 15.
