Construction cost estimate in construction projects requires high accuracy in calculating work volumes and applying unit cost analysis. Lack of accuracy in calculating the volume of work can result in inaccurate cost estimates, causing project budget overruns. This research discusses the use of 3D BIM planning concepts using Autodesk Revit software to help calculate volumes accurately, with the aim of reducing project budget overruns. Comparative analysis of cost estimates between the use of Autodesk Revit and conventional methods provides an overview of the efficiency and effectiveness of using BIM software in estimating construction project costs. The object of this research is the Satpol PP Bantul office construction project, with a focus on structural work. This research method includes data collection, 3D BIM modeling, calculating cost estimates based on the volume produced using unit cost analysis, and comparative analysis of cost estimates between the use of BIM software and conventional methods. Based on the research results, it found that the construction cost estimate for structural work from Revit had a value of IDR 862,330,518.59 and a difference of IDR 53,420,195.31. This shows that the use of the 3D BIM concept results in 5.83% cheaper calculations than conventional construction cost estimate methods.

Compared with other types of buildings, it is more difficult and demanding to calibrate the image layout of irregular prefabricated buildings. How to effectively extract the layout calibration feature information of the prefabricated buildings and how to ensure the accuracy of the calibration method have become the main problems to be solved in the field of image recognition. Therefore, this paper studied the calibration method of feature point layout of prefabricated buildings based on image recognition technology. Based on the task of extracting feature points in the above prefabricated building images, this paper proposed a new feature extraction network suitable for these feature points, and described its principle in detail. With the help of deep learning technology, this paper enhanced the feature description of prefabricated building image blocks based on feature point location information, and introduced in detail the constructed algorithm model of feature point extraction and description. The experimental results verified the feature point extraction model was effective in calibrating the feature point layout of the prefabricated buildings.

This study presents a novel, deep‐learning‐based model for the automated reconstruction of a cross‐sectional drawing from stereo photographs. Targeted cross‐sections captured in stereo photographs are detected and translated into sectional drawings using faster region‐based convolutional neural networks and Pix2Pix generative adversarial network. To address the challenge of perspective correction in the photographs, a novel camera pose optimization method is introduced and employed. This method eliminates the need for camera calibration and image matching, thereby offering greater flexibility in camera positioning and facilitating the use of telephoto lenses while avoiding image‐matching errors. Moreover, synthetic image datasets are used for training to facilitate the practical implementation of the proposed model in construction industry applications, considering the limited availability of open datasets in this field. The applicability of the proposed model was evaluated through experiments conducted on the cross‐sections of curtain wall components. The results demonstrated superior measurement accuracy, compared with those of current methods of laser scanning or camera‐based measurements for construction components.
