Autonomous decentralized high-speed processing technology and the application in an integrated IC card fixed-line and wireless system

Abstract: It features a variety of models and many units (15 models and approx. 10,000 units), various OSs on the model-by-model basis (11 types), communication interfaces (7 types), and so on. This system requires high maintenance cost, because it has many parts that can be worn away, and also is lacking in extensibility.0-7803-8963-8/05/$20.00 ©2005 IEEE.

“…According to this technology, the data in the R/W are saved as "temporary data" in the center server even when the R/W cannot catch the "data-process completed" signal. If the next processes are completed normally, the consistency of normal data sent to the center server and the previously-saved data is checked and the "temporary data" is revised as "definite data" [12]. “…Processing time at terminals in DF1 is required to be under 0.2 second. In this short time, they need to detect, authenticate, read, judge, write, and verify IC cards [40] in addition to fare calculation, which takes the most of the time of all processes.…”

“…It is very convenient for passengers, but it is prone to instability in communication due to improper card use. This section introduces the autonomous decentralized data consistency technology (ADDCT), which recovers missing data caused by such unstable communication [40]. This technology has two derivatives: Single-layered data consistency technology [42] and Multi-layered data consistency technology [43], [44].…”
