Autonomous optical buffer system for synchronous packets with priority control

Abstract: A scalable autonomous optical FDL buffer system for synchronous packets with priority control is proposed. The buffer having multiple input ports consists of 2:1 buffer modules. The buffering is autonomously controlled by a packet envelope and a priority tag.
