Abstract: ResumoO comportamento biogeoquímico do nitrogênio e fósforo em águas fluviais já é bem conhecido, embora em águas tropicais, nas quais o efeito de eutrofização é muito intenso nas principais bacias hidrográficas brasileiras, ainda se faz necessário o contínuo estudo dos mecanismos de disponibilidade destes dois nutrientes.
