Machinery traffic intensification has been recurrent in intensive agriculture in annual crops, which may lead to structural soil degradation and, consequently, a reduction of its productive capacity. Therefore, this study aimed to assess the influence of tractor traffic intensification on soil physical attributes and soybean yield components. The study was performed in an Oxisol under no-tillage for 10 years, using a randomized block design with five tractor traffic intensities (0, 2, 4, 6, 8, and 12 passes) and five replications. Density, porosity, macroporosity, microporosity, and penetration resistance were assessed in the soil and stem diameter, number of pods per plant, number of grains per pod, grain weight per plant, thousand-grain weight, and grain yield were assessed in the soybean crop. Tractor traffic intensification changed soil physical attributes, which were not limiting factors to soybean yield under the no-tillage system, providing higher stem diameter, number of pods per plant, grain weight per plant, and grain yield after 12 passes.

Soil is an important resource to promote increased maize yield, which can occur through an efficient soil tillage system, this being directly linked to the sowing process. Thus, the objective of this study was to evaluate the influence of tillage systems in an Ultisol and sowing rate on soil physical and agronomic attributes of the maize hybrid BRS 1055. The experiment was conducted in randomized blocks in subdivided plots with four replications, with soil tillage in the plots -moldboard plow + off-set harrow of 24" (T1), off-set harrow of 22" (T2), off-set harrow of 24" (T3) and chisel + off-set harrow of 24" (T4), and the following maize sowing rates: R1 -5.1 km h -1 , R2 -8.7 km h -1 and R3 -10.7 km h -1 . In the soil, the following variables were determined: soil density, soil porosity and soil penetration resistance (RP); and in the crop: plants per meter, plant height, first ear insertion height, viable ears, stem diameter, ear length, number of rows, number of grains per row and yield. Soil density and total porosity did not show differences between soil tillage systems. There was variation of RP in the 0.30-0.40 m layer, due to the depth and type of tillage performed for each implement. The rate variation provided changes in all agronomic attributes of the maize crop, while the soil tillage systems only affected plant height at 30 days after sowing.Additional keywords: agricultural mechanization; maize hybrid BRS 1055; Ultisol. ResumoO solo é um importante recurso para promover o aumento da produtividade do milho, o que pode ocorrer por meio de um sistema de preparo do solo eficiente, e que também esteja ligado diretamente ao processo de semeadura. Assim, objetivou-se avaliar a influência dos sistemas de preparo em Argissolo Amarelo e a velocidade de semeadura sobre os atributos físicos do solo e agronômicos da cultura do milho híbrido BRS 1055. O experimento foi conduzido em blocos ao acaso, em parcelas subdivididas com quatro repetições, sendo realizados os preparos de solo nas parcelas -arado de aivecas+grade off-set de 24" (T1), grade off--set de 22" (T2), grade off-set de 24" (T3) e escarificador+grade off-set de 24" (T4), com velocidades de semeadura do milho: V1 -5,1 km h -1 ; V2 -8,7 km h -1 , e V3 -10,7 km h -1 . No solo, foram determinadas: densidade, porosidade e resistência do solo à penetração (RP), e na cultura: plantas por metro, altura de planta, altura de inserção da primeira espiga, espigas viáveis, diâmetro de colmo, comprimento da espiga, quantidade de fileiras, quantidade de grãos na fileira e produtividade. A densidade e a porosidade total do solo não apresentaram diferenças entre os preparos do solo. Ocorreu variação da RP na camada de 0,30-0,40 m, devido à profundidade e ao tipo de preparo realizado para cada implemento. A variação da velocidade apresentou alterações em todos os atributos agronômicos da cultura do milho, enquanto os sistemas de preparo do solo afetaram apenas a altura de plantas, aos 30 dias após a semeadura.Palavras-chave adicionais: Argissolo Amarelo; me...
