Avulsive radiocarpal subluxation treated successfully with reduction and percutaneous fixation: a case report Radiocarpal dislocation and subluxations are unusual injuries. Dislocations are more commonly described and are typically dorsal. 1 We report the case of a volar radiocarpal subluxation which we assume is particularly rare. Our treatment strategy was successful and less aggressive than that described in related reports. 2,3 On day 0, a healthy 30-year-old man fell from a motorized scooter onto his outstretched left hand. On day 6, a splint was applied in an emergency department for a fifth metacarpal fracture.
