Azygosporogenesis in Mucor azygosporus

Abstract: Light microscopic and scanning and transmission electron microscopic observations were obtained on azygosporogenesis in Mucor azygosporus Benjamin. Terminal gametangia are delimited by centripetally growing septa but plasmodesmata maintain cytoplasmic continuity between the azygophores and gametangia.
