Abstract:Because of the increased risk of gonadal malignancy, prophylactic gonadectomy in androgen insensitivity syndrome has recently been performed using laparoscopic procedures. However, the intracorporeal approach, as a standard technique, is often time consuming, complicated and expensive. Here we describe a simple extracorporeal technique as an alternative method.
