Bacille Calmette-Guérin: An ophthalmic perspective

Abstract: Vaccines such as bacille Calmette-Guérin (BCG) are known for their heterologous effects mediated through a number of mechanisms, including trained immunity constituted by monocyte-macrophage based innate immunity.
