“…This world average values were considered from the studies carried out before the year of 2000 while this study has complied the data of 232 Th, 226 Ra, and 40 K for surface soils, that were studied after the year of 2000 ( Table 4 ). However, the median n=23 values for 232 Th, and 40 K of this study were similar to those of concomitant median n=13 values of surface soils of Bangladesh ( Chowdhury et al., 1999 ; Hamid et al., 2002 ; Miah et al., 2012 ; Miah et al., 1998 ; Alam et al., 2013 ; Khatun et al., 2013 ; Islam et al., 2014 ; Ferdous et al., 2015 ; Ehsan et al., 2019 ; Khan et al., 2019a ; Mojumder et al., 2020 ).
