Baker omitted value

Abstract: We define Baker omitted value, in short bov, of an entire or meromorphic function f in the complex plane as an omitted value for which there exists r 0 > 0 such that for each ball D r (a) centred at a and with radius r satisfying 0 < r < r 0 , every component of the boundary of f −1 (D r (a)) is bounded. The existence and some dynamical implications of bov is investigated in this article. The bov of a function is the only asymptotic value. An entire function has bov if and only if the image of every unbounded … Show more

“…A point b ∈ C is called an omitted value of f if f (z) = b for any z ∈ C. A special type of omitted value, introduced by Chakra et al in [5] is the concern of this article. The set of singular values is the closure of the union of the critical values and the asymptotic values.…”

“…The amount of influence that a particular type of singular value can have on the dynamics seems to be worth knowing, especially when there are infinitely many singular values. The Baker omitted values are a special type of singular values and some aspects of their importance are explored in [7]. A bov is called stable if it is in the Fatou set of the function.…”
