“…A majority of the curriculum adaptations were derived from agreement in the four sources of data; however, there was one notable disagreement during the cultural adaptation process. The steering committee felt the recipes should be altered to include more culturally relevant ingredients; however, data from the literature review and formative research indicated a need and desire to address unfamiliarity of nontraditional foods, cooking methods, and equipment in the United States through the use of American recipes (Hadley et al, 2010; Hadley & Sellen, 2006; McElrone et al, 2019).
