Basal and stimulated hippocampal adenylate cyclase activity in the experimentally lesioned rat entorhinal cortex

Abstract: Early stage development of Alzheimer-related neurofibrillary tangles occurs primarily in neurons of entorhinal cortex layers pre-alpha and pre-beta. These excitatory neurons project into the hippocampus.
