Abstract:Photosymbiosis exists in both terrestrial and aquatic environments. Photosymbionts within a marine setting, utilising a photosynthetic partner, such as algae, provide photoassimilates to the host via photosynthesis. An example of this is photosymbiosis between Symsagittifera roscoffensis and the alga Tetraselmis convolutae.
