“…In recent years, some cyclic loading experiments have examined the seismic performance of CFT columns. Ge and Usami (1996) investigated the influences of the filled-in concrete on the strength, ductility and energy absorption capacity of the column through cyclic tests on box CFT columns, while Elremaily and Azizinamini (2002) through cyclic tests on circular CFT columns. The flexural force-deformation behavior of thirty concrete-filled thin-walled steel SHS (square hollow section) and RHS (rectangular hollow section) beam-columns and of eight concrete-filled steel CHS (circular hollow section) beam-columns was experimentally investigated by Han et al (2003) and Han and You (2005) respectively, under several constant axial loads and cyclically increasing flexural loading.…”
