Behavioral characterization of discrete event systems

Abstract: A b s t r a c t What kind of input output behavior must a system have to be realizable by DEVS? We present a characterimion of discrete event systems in an axiomatic way, showing a construction of a DEVSfrom a discrete event IOFOthat satisfies causality and st&*onarity properties. Each system is formalized as a structure.
