Behavioral integration in the boardroom

Abstract: Purpose This study aims to understand the relationship between behavioral integration in the boardroom and board performance. Design/methodology/approach The authors performed a series of multiple hierarchical regression analyses to explore research questions. Primary data were collected via questionnaires from 184 Nordic members to identify perceptions of behavioral integration and board performance in their boardroom. Findings The authors found that different dimensions of behavioral integration have a d… Show more

“…Other authors (Chen et al, 2021) also highlighted, through latent profile analysis, four collaboration profiles, including the restricted collaboration profile, the smarmy collaboration profile, the intuitive collaboration profile, and the modest collaboration profile, as a behavior-oriented strategy for innovation. However, our finding does not confirm Pastra et al (2021), who mentioned that collaborative behavior did not predict any dimension of performance at the board level.…”

“…Generic problems and questions on non-personal data protection are likely to recur in other instances once fully autonomous ships using e-navigation and other forms of autonomous communication to establish contact between and among vessels are in place. This could invoke bring in other questions, such as the feasibility and effectiveness of current big data analytical techniques for an increased rate and volume of data-an issue of significant importance in offshore environments that needs to be considered as the industry moves towards the Internet of Shipping [80][81][82][83][84][85].…”

“…In reality, a sound data governance approach goes beyond just the protection factor simply because the data decision dimension and building blocks secure a "trustworthy" environment. A trustworthy business model entails trust in the product that is likely to have a positive repercussion among the stakeholders that are a part of the business model of non-personal data [82,83]. The current system is characterized as supervised autonomy (see Table 1).…”

“…Behavioral integration is a critical component in cross-functional teams that helps to promote more harmonious relationships (Tekleab et al. , 2016), and associated with firm performance (Carmeli and Schaubroeck, 2006; Pastra et al. , 2021).…”

“…A TMG that realizes the nature of integration and the value of complementary personal features, skills, experience and knowledge can be considered a behaviorally integrated group (Carmeli and Schaubroeck, 2006). Behavioral integration is a critical component in crossfunctional teams that helps to promote more harmonious relationships (Tekleab et al, 2016), and associated with firm performance (Carmeli and Schaubroeck, 2006;Pastra et al, 2021). Although positive outcomes are derived from the interrelations between a HRM's components, HRM synergy is hardly well-marked and there is a dearth of theoretical and methodological precision in this topic (Chadwick, 2010).…”
