Abstract:In this work, the thermoelastic properties of Ni-Ti shape memory alloys (SMA) processed by conventional rolling and equal channel angular extrusion (ECAE) were investigated. SMAs have two phases: Austenite (at high temperature) and Martensite (at low temperature). The samples were compared under five different thermal and processing conditions: homogenized, rolled, rolled-annealed, extruded, and extruded-annealed. The homogenized sample served as a reference. The samples were analyzed by differential scanning … Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
