For example, studies have suggested that high sensation seekers drive more recklessly (Burns and Wilde, 1995;Jonah, 1997), whilst Rudin- Brown and Parker (2004) suggest that those with an internal locus of control (Rotter, 1966) adapt differently to ACC, compared to those with an external locus of control. Saad (2006, p.178) concludes that such findings "reveal that some individual characteristics seem to amplify the behavioural changes observed when driving with new systems and influence the drivers' subjective assessments of the impact of the systems on their driving."…”
