Abstract:Butyrohydroxamic acid is a hydroxamic acid that has various biological and pharmacological applications. This study reports the bioconversion of butyramide and hydroxylamine to butyrohydroxamic acid with the help of amidase of Bacillus sp. APB-6, which has amidotransferase activity.
