Abstract:This paper dealt with the bending properties of 3D (three-dimensional) I-shaped woven composites with basalt fiber filaments tows and epoxy vinyl resin. The 3D I-shaped woven fabrics with three different heights were woven on ordinary loom by reasonable design with low cost. The 3D I-shaped woven composites were fabricated by VARTM(vacuum assisted resin transfer molding) process.
