Benefit of Pulmonary Subspecialty Care for Children with Sickle Cell Disease and Asthma

Abstract: Objective: Asthma is a recognized comorbidity in children with sickle cell disease (SCD). It increases risk of acute chest syndrome (ACS), vaso-occlusive episodes, and early mortality.
